Pinched will be back for a guest appearance at the Rated X festival in Amsterdam, from 15 - 18 january 2009 in Kriterion.
During this festival Pinched will host three panel discussions, ranging from topics like How To Be a 'Real' Man in porn to Sexual Politics for Dummies. National and international guest are part of the discussion.

The first Dutch film festival entirely dedicated to alternative, artistic and radical erotica, returns! Big-screen sexuality coming from a myriad of different angles and artistic perspectives, to celebrate a positive appreciation of the erotic in all of its richness and diversity

Daarom is het Pinched programma op 21 juni aangepast.
De presentatie van Annie Sprinkle en Elizabeth Stephens is om 19.00u ipv 20.30u!
Voetballiefhebbers kunnen van 20.30u in de kleine zaal op een groot scherm de wedstrijd volgen. Mensen die niets van voetbal moeten weten kunnen op informele wijze verder praten met Annie Sprinkle en Elizabeth Stephens in de grote zaal of naar de Mail & Female Sexperience in de kelder van Paradiso.

De speciale Pinched editie van Eendagsfilm was een groot succes! Vijf groepen van jonge filmmakers hebben zich op 14 juni de hele dag gestort op het thema 'Love is the new sex'. Om middernacht werd het met veel enthousiasme vertoont en toegelicht door de makers.
Het uiteindelijke resultaat komende zaterdag te zien in een zinneprikkelende installatie tijdens de midzomernacht burlesque in Paradiso.

Naar aanleiding van de Pinched avond over vrouwvriendelijke en feministische pornografie heeft Sara Janssen, Pinched redactielid en afstuderend aan de Radboud Universiteit in Nijmegen een beschouwing geschreven over de film One Night Stand en queer sexualiteit. Dit was één van de films uit de selectie van Jennifer Lyon Bell voor het programma op 2 juni.

Accompanying the Pinched evening about female friendly and feminist porno, Sara Janssen, Pinched board member and currently finishing her thesis at the Radboud University in Nijmegen has written an essay about the film One Night Stand and queer sexuality. One Night Stand was one of the films that Jennifer Lyon Bell selected for the program on June 2.

Op 14 juni vindt tijdens de opening van de Pinched tentoonstelling in Meneer de Wit een bijzondere editie van Eendagsfilm plaats.

Eendagsfilm nodigt jonge filmmakers uit om binnen een dag een korte film te maken. Om 9 uur maakt de organisatie het thema van die dag bekend, waarna je tot 24.00u de tijd hebt om de film te maken. Het volledige proces, inclusief idee-ontwikkeling en editen moet dus binnen die 15 uur plaats vinden. Er mag zowel voor fictie als non-fictie gekozen worden.
Vanaf 24.00u begint de vertoning voor publiek en een panel van deskundigen.

Op 21 juni zullen de resultaten van de Eendagsfilm tijdens het Pinched festival wederom te zien zijn, verwerkt in een uitdagende installatie.

In deze tentoonstelling laten jonge beeldende kunstenaars in Meneer de Wit, centrum voor kunst, cultuur en ontwikkeling, hun visie zijn op sexualiteit, intimiteit en man/vrouw verhoudingen. Filmmakers Frans Zwartjes, Wim Jongedijk en Sietske Tjallingii, maar ook Wybe Klaverdijk, Kenneth Heesbien, Wendela de Vries en Fleur van Maarschalkerwaard tonen hun werk.
Op de openingsavond zal Eendagsfilm voor één keer in Amsterdam hun Eendagsfilmavond houden. Jonge filmmakers worden uitgenodigd op binnen één dag een korte film te maken. Het resultaat zal klokslag 12 uur 's nachts getoond worden aan het publiek én een deskundige jury.
De tentoonstelling loopt tot 21 juni.

On June 14th the exhibition 'Meneer de Wit Uncovered' will open at Meneer de Wit, centre for art, culture and development. In this exhibition young artist show their work in relation to sexuality, intimacy and relations between man and woman. De tweede Pinched avond, Wet Dreams Again met Willem de Ridder is vanaf volgende week op Fabchannel te zien.
Gedurende deze avond vertelde De Ridder over de roerige jaren van de sexuele revolutie en zijn idealen omtrent sexualiteit. Aan de hand van anekdotes en filmbeelden schetste hij een tijdsbeeld.

Een korte impressie:
Wat nodig is, is een andere verhouding tot seksuele lust. (...) Onze lust moeten we eerder leren cultiveren. In het leren omgaan met lust en onze diepere drijfveren leren we onszelf kennen; in het delen van lust en verlangen, de ander. (...) Slow sex is seksualiteit op basis van gelijkwaardigheid. Bij slow sex behandelen we seksualiteit noch als een gevaarlijke oerkracht, noch als een consumptie-artikel. Slow sex is een kritiek op de vermarkting van onze lusten, maar ook op de christelijke en islamitische preutsheid. Het is een oproep om seks buiten de wereld van prestatie, van scoren, van macht en onderdrukking te houden. (...) Slow sex pleit voor aandacht en respect voor je partner en jezelf.

Met PINCHED gaan we op zoek naar de tegenbewegingen op het gebied van liefde, seksualiteit en pornografie.
We willen mensen prikkelen om verder te kijken dan wat commercie ons wil doen geloven dat sexy en opwindend is. Maar eveneens maken we een statement tegen de huidige golf van conservatisme die Nederland overspoeld. Geen censuur, maar een rijkheid aan positieve alternatieven is waar we voor staan.
Deze alternatieven zoeken we aan de hand van verschillende uitingsvormen: filmvertoningen, lezingen, performances en (beeldende) kunst. Nationale en internationale gasten zullen hun gedachten, fantasieën en ideeën delen.
Laat PINCHED je verleiden om je blik te verruimen en je zintuigen te prikkelen.

During the PINCHED events we try to find the counter movements in love, sexuality and pornography. We like to stimulate people to look beyond that what commercialism wants us to believe is sexy and seductive. Next to that we also wantto make a statement against current wave ofconservatism that’s flooding the social debates in the Netherlands. No censorship, but more positive alternatives.
