Sexualiteit in beeldende kunst en experimentele film
In projectruimte Meneer de Wit heeft curator Wim Jongedijk een uitgekiende, 'TOEN-NU-LATER' visuele sideshow van Pinched samengesteld. Met een filmprogramma met films van Frans Zwartjes, Wim Jongedijk en Sietske Tjallingii waarin het veranderende vrouw en man(zelf-)beeld van de jaren '70 tot nu wordt neergezet. Daarnaast recent sensueel werk van beeldend kunstenaars Wendela de Vries en Fleur van Maarschalkerwaart die werken met respectievelijk klassieke technieken en moderne media. Wybe Klaverdijk werpt een blik op de (maakbare) toekomst van de sexuele beleving en fotograaf Kenneth Heesbien biedt zelfbewuste mannen en vrouwen van NU de gelegenheid om zich zelf of samen gratis te laten fotograferen én tentoon te stellen in Meneer de Wit!

Sexuality in art and experimental film.
In projectspace Meneer de Wit curator Wim Jongedijk has created a devised ‘PAST-PRESENT-FUTURE’ visual side show for Pinched. At the exhibtion visitors can enjoy a film programme about the changing (self)image of men and women from the 70s until now, with work by Frans Zwartjes, Wim Jongedijk and Sietske Tjallingii. Other elements are recent sensual works by artists Wendela de Vries and Fleur van Maarschalkerwaart, who both work with classic techniques and modern media. Wybe Klaverdijk takes a peek at the adjustable future of the sexual experience and photographer Kenneth Heesbien offers assertive women and men of TODAY the option to get their picture taken and exhibited at Meneer de Wit.

14.15 – 15.00 Presentation: Making Sex Media for a Radical Future – Audacia Ray (USA)
Audacia Ray, producer and curator of sex media, will focus on the growing contingent of individuals, companies, and art collectives who are breaking the boundaries of sex and gender through sex media production and play. She will give a tour to some of these projects as they exist online, on DVD, in print, and in art spaces. The talk asks the questions: how can we challenge mainstream media representations of sex and gender? Is the feminist approach to these topics key? Are commercialism, personal expression, and art at odds with one another? What tools and communities are needed to create alternative sexual media cultures? 15.00h – 15.45h: Panel discussion about ‘Do-It-Yourself’ vs. commerce and new possibilities for representation for sex and gender.
The panel will react on the presentation by Audacia Ray. With Tatiana Bazzichelli and Gaia Novati from CUM2CUT (DE), Maria Llopis from Girlswholikeporno (ES) and Jurgen Bruning from Berlin Porn Film Festival (GE) and Audacia Ray herself.
16.15 – 18.15 Panel discussion about counter movements in the Netherlands and Belgium
Young people don’t know how to deal with sex, women turn into female chauvinist pigs in their aim to live up to a pornographic ideal and in the end we are all still not able to think outside of the gendered box. But is this really true? The panel members all strive in their own way to create a positive change in thinking and acting about sex. They do this with running a female friendly sex store for example or they confront youngsters on national tv with their own sexual attitude. But the question is, are these counter movements the forerunners of a new trend, now that the sexual moral is at stake? Or do they remain as alternatives in a societywhere the norm is dominated by commerce.

An intimate evening with Annie Sprinkle & Elizabeth Stephens
Annie Sprinkle will start the evening with her presentation: My Life as a Feminist Porn Activist. Using film clips, her experiences and anecdotes she will take you by the hand through her eventful life from prostitute and porn star to performance artist and feminist activist. She talks with passion about her performances, her work and her ideals as one of the pivotal players in the 80's "sex positive feminist movement". Her best-known theatre and performance art piece is her Public Cervix Announcement, in which she invites the audience to celebrate the female body by viewing her cervix with a speculum and flashlight. This won’t happen tonight, but expect the unexpected when Annie Sprinkle is on stage!
During the second part of the night Elizabeth Stephens will join Sprinkle onstage. Together they will present their current art project: The Love Art Laboratory, at loveartlab.org. Love Art Lab started in 2004 with the first wedding between Stephens and Sprinkle. From that year on, the two lovers have celebrated another wedding ceremony each year. This seven-year project honours a different theme at each year’s wedding; in 2008 those themes are love and compassion.

Een golf van preutsheid overspoelt de Nederlandse politiek. Moet porno verboden worden op tv, clips gekuist en bloot verbannen uit de publieke ruimte? Is het feministisch om tegen porno te zijn of is paaldansen juist bevrijdend? Is de seksuele revolutie doorgeschoten, zoals sommigen stellen?
Gedurende deze eerste thema-avond avond presenteren Dylan van Rijsbergen en Brechtje Paardekooper van de links progressieve denktank Waterland hun pamflet ‘Slow Sex: een erotisch beschavingsoffensief’, waarin ze een voorstel doet voor een andere benadering van seksualiteit en pornografie binnen onze samenleving. Integendeel, stellen Paardekooper en Van Rijsbergen: ze moet nog beginnen. 'Slow sex' pleit voor de bevrijding van lust en verlangen, voor de cultivering van seksualiteit.
De PINCHED avond bestaat uit de presentatie van het manifest en een aantalgasten vanuit politiek, kunst en cultuur die een voorbeeld zullen geven van hun ideale sekspositieve samenleving. De avond zal o.a. bijgewoond worden de Groen-Links fractieleider Femke Halsema en Arie Boomsma (40 dagen zonder sex).
Slow Sex
A new form of prudishness is flooding the Dutch political arena. Some of the questions that are raised are: is porno something that we shouldn’t allow to be shown on television, do we have to censor the content of music videos and do we need to ban nudity from the public space? Are you a feminist if you’re opposed to porn or does pole dancing liberate you as a woman?
During the first Pinched event Dylan van Rijsbergen and Brechtje Paardekooper, members of the think-tank Waterland, will present their manifesto: ‘Slow Sex: an appeal for erotic cultivation’. In this manifesto they propose a different approach to sexuality and pornography in our society. Did thesexual revolution go to far? On the contrary, is the conclusion that Paardekooperen Van Rijsbergen state in their manifesto, she is only about to begin. ‘Slow sex’ promotes the liberation of lust and desire as well as the cultivation of sexuality.
At the PINCHED evening Brechtje Paardekooper and Dylan van Rijsbergen present their manifesto. After that a variety of guests will present their ideal of a sex-positive society.

Waren de jaren zestig en zeventig werkelijk de periode van sexuele bevrijding? Of heeft de sexuele revolutie juist geleidt tot het huidige beeld van een losgeslagen sexuele moraal? Willem de Ridder spreekt op 5 mei over zijn rol in de sexuele revolutie en de Wet Dreams filmfestivals die hij in de jaren 70 in Paradiso organiseerde.
De Wet Dreams festivals waren de eerste erotische filmfestivals in de wereld met deelnemers als Germaine Greer, William Burroughs en Betty Dodson.
De Ridder gaat in gesprek met Marlijn Dingshoff over idealen, commercie en het huidige maatschappelijke beeld van sexualiteit.
Were the sixties and seventies truly the period of sexual freedom? Or did the sexual revolution lead to the current idea that we live in a society without sexual morals or values. Willem de Ridder will talk about the part that he had in sexual revolution and the Wet Dreams film festivalswhich he and other organized in Paradiso during the seventies. Wet Dreams were the first erotic film festival world wide. Germaine Greer, William Burroughs and Betty Dodson were among the participants.
De Ridder will talk with Marlijn Dingshoff about ideals, commerce and the current interpretation of what sexuality means.
